Title: “AI for process modeling and control – some case studies”
Abstract: This talk presents some applications of machine and deep learning for modelling and control. The main applications considered are a gas turbine engine (GTE) and hybrid two tank system (H2T). For the GTE, steady-state and dynamic modelling is explored, followed by RL control studies. For the H2T system, actual physical faults are introduced and then the faults are identified in real-time using DL techniques. Lastly, similar case studies for a DC motor are discussed.
